What You'll Be Working On
Our diverse portfolio spans urban infill, mixed-use development, community parks, campuses,, civic spaces, large-scale master plans, and private residential projects. We’re currently working on some of our most exciting projects to date—and you’ll be in the thick of it, not just watching from the sidelines.
The Role
As a Project Manager at KVD, you’ll be a key driver in both design execution and project delivery. You’ll lead teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and guide projects from concept to construction.
· Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases
· Oversee deliverables and ensure quality across design, technical drawings, and specs
· Build strong client relationships and maintain clear communication
· Manage budgets, schedules, and internal resources
· Inspire and mentor junior designers and interns
· Contribute to KVD’s design vision, culture, and long-term growth
Must-Haves:
· 5–10+ years of experience in landscape architecture or urban design
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture (or similar field)
· A collaborative mindset and an appreciation for studio culture
· Exceptional design portfolio with demonstrated project leadership
· Deep experience managing all project phases—design, documentation, and implementation
· Strong communication and client relationship skills
· Mastery of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
· Fluency in site planning, grading, planting design, and construction detailing
· Experience mentoring junior staff
· Licensure preferred, but not required
Nice-to-Haves:
· Experience with Design Review/Planning Commissions
· Familiarity with entitlements and zoning processes
· Comfortable presenting to stakeholders and city officials
