February’s ASLA Meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 20, with the University of Memphis Design Collaborative. UMDC Director Andy Kitsinger and Jessica Buttermore will give us a brief introduction to the Design Collaborative and some of their most recent efforts around the City, specifically the North District. It is our hope that the rest of the meeting turns into more of a dialog between professions as we look at how streetscapes, urban waterways, and brownfields within the North District have an impact on the area as a whole. This is a great opportunity to have the voice of Landscape Architecture heard and to begin a collaborative relationship between ASLA and the UMDC.
