Entry Level Landscape Architect / Designer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited landscape architecture program

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Sketchup, hand-drawing

  • Prior landscape architecture experience or internship in a design office

Project Manager / Landscape Architect Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited landscape architecture program

  • 5-10 years of professional experience working under a licensed Landscape Architect

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Sketchup, hand-drawing

  • Experience managing all phases of the design and construction process

  • Experience interacting and coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors

  • Knowledge of Zone 6-7 plant material

  • Knowledge of construction practices as they relate to Landscape Architecture

  • Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations

  • Knowledge of irrigation design

  • Ability to adjust to dynamic project priorities

  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines

  • Strong design and graphic skills that can be expressed in a variety of formats

Project manager candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to lead and manage projects from proposal through construction.  This includes maintaining client relationships, defining project scopes and preparing proposals, coordinating with design and construction team members, mentoring and providing direction to staff, prioritizing and delegating tasks for multiple projects concurrently, producing design, presentation and construction documents packages, adhering to project budgets and schedules, organizing and leading meetings, and performing construction observation.  Candidates should be prepared to provide examples of projects they have managed and be able to walk us through their contributions to each phase of the project design and management.

Croy Engineering LLC is a multidisciplinary firm providing design services for both public and private clients including parks, greenways, commercial sites, streetscapes, environmental and transportation related projects. Currently, Croy Engineering LLC has an opening for a mid-level Landscape Architect. Responsibilities will include concept & schematic design, CAD drafting, renderings, presentation graphics, construction documents, development of opinion of cost documents, technical leadership and management of landscape architecture projects. Additional responsibilities will include client contact, coordination with project team members both inside and outside of the firm.

Candidate should have a working knowledge of:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Site planning

  • Hardscape design

  • Landscape design

  • Basic irrigation design

Preferred working knowledge or desire to learn the following:

  • Land F/X

Candidate should expect to perform in a deadline-driven environment. The candidate shall hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience with site planning is required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing required.
